I am not easily impressed. With all the technological advancements you’d think I’d be thoroughly impressed with humankind’s compendium of knowledge and plethora of creations. But it becomes small and insignificant when I observe humans who are enslaved to the machinations of this culture, living absent of true freedom and peace, chained to economy and social forces that disallow authentic freedom of expression. The status quo is the only menu provided to the masses. Free thought is comminated. Free expression indirectly denounced. Humans don’t know how to live cohesively, yet I should be impressed with our creations, particularly those that continue to pull us further apart.
What do I know? To some I’m just another human pontificating. What I do know is how I feel. All this technology becomes meaningless to me if it cannot be used to bring positive and effective change to how we share this world.
