poem: the altar

IMG_6188Kneel at my altar

Show homage

To the gods of my womb

Let your tongue

Utter nothing less than

Worship and praise.

Taste the holiness

Of my River Jordan,

Sacrifice your body

To my everlasting life.

Leave you and yours

And cleave to me.

We shall speak in tongues,

Together.

Let this union become

Your new commandment

Thou shalt not deny me.
