Something right now enslaves you. It could be material, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, etc. If you could free yourself of this thing, how could or would it change your life?
My shackle: I have not learned yet how to completely free myself of materialism. I’ve made huge strides in many areas. I’ve minimized a host of things in my life. But a few vestiges remain that I wish to be free of. One such vestige is the cell phone. I want to be free of it, but I feel as though I will lose contact if I do. I often think, did we have this anxiety around losing contact with loved ones before cell phones existed? I continue to work on this. One day I will be free of it.
Enslaved? Most definitely by material items, junk food and the burdens of others.
If I could…would…and should free myself. I think I will be more balanced health wise and happier knowing that I don’t need all of these material items to make me happy. As far as taking on the burdens of others..that’s my bag. I have to continue to work on that one. I absorb so many others’ issues. Anyway, outstanding BLOG. Thanks for sharing your world.
