quote: each new book
Truly each new book is as a ship that bears us away from the fixity of our limitations into the movement and splendor of life’s infinite ocean.” – Helen Keller

quote: woman
“In every consideration, man attempts to show that woman is inferior. In this attempt he has no respect for (1) Law of Heredity, and the (2) Law of Cause and Effect. He disregards the fact that (1) Like begets Like, and that (2) the Effect can never rise superior to its Cause. He ignores the fact that Man, as the offspring of Woman, may rise to her level under the law of improvement, but that he can never rise above the being that gave him birth.”

quote: education vs. domestication
Wage earners are Economic Slaves, the lowest of which is the common laborer.
We would not be far wrong to say that civilization is commercialism, and the latter is composed chiefly of capitalists and their hirelings. The hirelings are the Economic Slaves who are dependent on others for a living. They have no time to acquire knowledge, and are not noted for their wisdom. The position they fill is proof of their mental inferiority, and they are in the great majority in civilization.
This vast majority constitutes the servants of Commercialism. They spend their days in weakening work and degrading toil. They have little opportunity for physical, mental and spiritual development. They must look for light to those who live on the fruits of their labor. If they found the true light it would soon end their days of economic slavery. So their mind, their education and their religion must be controlled in order to keep them in darkness.
The word ‘Education’ is a misnomer. The schools do not educate; they domesticate. People are trained like dogs and horses. They are trained to do the things and think the thoughts that those in authority want them to do and think. They are trained to accept without prejudice and to obey without question the dictates of authority.
