I didn’t finish reading the book I committed to reading before the end of January. That’s right, I’m a slacker. Don’t judge me.
My “new” goal is to get it read within the next week or two.
Of course, as is my way, even before I’ve completed one book I already have eleven more on my to-be-read list, some eagled on my desk, others dog-eared somewhere inside the first chapter. That’s right, I’ve started reading them even before I’ve finished my commitment.
Am I the only one who has this addiction? It’s pretty bad. I sometimes wonder how I am able to read a book in its entirety at all. There are times when I wish I could put my books under my pillow and dream the entire story. It would be so much more efficient if reading were that easy. Go to bed, sleep, dream, wake up, book read. I would be able to read thirty to thirty-one books per month.
Can you imagine that? Dream reading? I adore the idea. Don’t you?
